Social networking is it easy?

I am trying very hard to get my head around the intricacies of social networking. It gives me a headache. I want to write and earn money from that, I want to be my own boss.

In recent months I have learnt to use two web building programs, and numerous photography programs. I still get confused between them :)

My partner is much better than I am, I do shout at him occasionally.

I thought that if I figured out which program or "app" to use I could "integrate" all the different things I have signed up to and administer them from one place.

Maybe that is possible but I can't do it. I thought I could schedule updates with Ping or SocialOomph but you have to buy the pro version of SocialOomph and I don't seem able to find a way to automate updates with Ping.

Oh well back to what I know best, I will write and imagine that people are viewing it :)

Simplicity...

Our lives are so much simpler now than they used to be. We have so many labour saving gadgets. But does anyone feel like me that technology has gone too far. All these automated services, that save so much time, but don't work!

Just spent at least twenty minutes to pay my gas bill. I wanted to pay with my card over the phone and did so. Got to the end of the procedure after they repeated all the relevant detail after I had given it. Then they said the transaction could not be authorised. Then I had to waste more credit on my phone waiting to talk to a human! Then we repeated the whole procedure again and this time it went through. Nothing different and no explanation.

What is all that about?
